Compensation and Benefits

The District’s philosophy on attracting and retaining satisfied employees is to provide an overall compensation package that recognizes contributions and achievements. Base Pay for Probationary Firefighter   Approximately $61,880 annually

Base Pay for 2nd Year Firefighter   Approximately $63,132 annually

Base Pay for 3rd Year Firefighter   Approximately $64,384 annually

EMS Certification Incentive Pay

EMT – Advanced – (approximately $1200 annually upon successful credentialing process completion)
EMT – Paramedic – (approximately $5,800 annually upon successful credentialing process completion)

  • Upon successful completion of the District’s Paramedic Credentialing process, which can take between 1 – 1.5 years,  you will be eligible for Paramedic Certification pay, an additional $2.00 an hour.   Approximately $5,824 annually.
  • Once a credentialed paramedic and assigned to an ALS unit , you will be eligible for Paramedic Assigment pay, an addtional $2.85 per hour, in addition the $2.00 an hour Paramedic Certification pay. 

Fire Certification Incentive Pay
TCFP Intermediate Firefighter – (approximately $600 annually)
TCFP Advanced Firefighter – (approximately $900 annually)
TCFP Master Firefighter – (approximately $1800 annually)

Education Incentive Pay
Associate Degree – (approximately $1200 annually)
Bachelor’s Degree – (approximately $2400 annually)
Master’s Degree – (approximately $3600 annually)

Longevity Pay (based on years of service)
