Complete the online Application for Plan Review and Acceptance Testing form below.
Our personnel will verify that your project address (as listed on the Application Form) is physically located within Travis County ESD No. 2 jurisdictional boundaries.
After the jurisdictional verification is complete, we will contact you to take your payment of the plan review fees. Payment may be made over the phone by credit card, or in person by check, money order, or credit card.
Once your application and payment are received, Travis County ESD No. 2 staff will send you an email containing a link at which you will upload your plans.
An application must be accompanied with the required fees. The plan review fee for alarm and suppression systems includes acceptance testing. Reviews and inspections cannot be conducted until the required fees are received. We accept credit cards, money orders or checks. Please make your money order or check payable to Travis County ESD No. 2. If paying by credit card, please call our non-emergency number (512) 251-2801 during regular business hours to make your payment.

* Special Projects: Special projects would include food truck courts, flea markets and other projects which fall outside the scope of the normal building permit process.
* Automatic Extinguishing System: This fee is applicable for the installation of kitchen suppression systems, clean agent systems, dry chemical systems protecting existing spray booths and similar type of installations. A separate permit is required for each system. .
* Fire System Acceptance: This fee is applicable for modifications to existing sprinkler systems involving the installation and/or relocation of not more than 20 sprinkler heads. This fee is also applicable to modifications of existing fire alarm systems involving the installation and/or relocation of not more than 10 devices.
* Fire Standpipe System: This fee is applicable for standalone standpipe systems. The fee for combination sprinkler/standpipe risers will be covered by the fire sprinkler permit fee. For a combination system an additional fee for the standpipe system will not be required.
* Fire Pump: This fee is applicable in addition to the fee for the fire sprinkler or standpipe system.
* High-Piled Storage: Installation of racks and other storage defined as high-piled combustible storage in the fire code.
* Paint/Powder Coating Booth: Installation of spray and powder coating equipment utilizing combustible and/or flammable materials.
