No, we do not accept hazardous waste at any of our fire stations or offices. However, the Austin Recycle & Reuse Drop-off Center is available to all Travis County residents to drop off household hazardous waste such as paint, pesticides, cleaning products, aerosol cans, and most electronics. Unused medicine (pills only) can be dropped off at the City of Pflugerville Justice Center as detailed here.
As a public service, we will accept used smoke alarms at our Administration Building, 203 E Pecan St. in Pflugerville.
For used fire extinguishers, we encourage residents to follow the manufacturer’s instructions to safely dispose of extinguishers.
